Help please! Need to find a way to convert P65 files into something usable today .....

30 years ago my mother used pagemaker to recreate a copy of a childrens rhyme book that originally belonged to my father 80 years ago.  Every time she had a new grandchild, she printed a new version with one of the poems dedicated to the new grandchild.  My sweet mother passed away last year.

This year two great grandchildren will be born and I have been tasked with continuing the tradition.  I have a box with the paper, original book and two CDs with P65 files.  I cannot find a way to convert them to anything usable - Word, PDF, InDesign, etc.  I do not have a copy of Pagemaker or CS6 InDesign, which my research says are the only methods for converting to PDF or DOC.  I really do not want to recreate the entire book but don't have a problem doing editing or cleanup if it is not perfect.

Thankful for any suggestsion!

Hi Connie,

I've saved these files as .indd and also .idml, just in case. I hope this works for you.

FYI, there are missing links, so hopefully you have those art files to relink to.

I can't upload to your Google Drive, so I've put the .zip file on my Google Drive:

I have to go out for a while in about 20 minutes. I'll check back later.

Hello - I see that the files have been converted by @tonks_the_auror  - fantastic

But some links are missing.

I found this converter online https://convert.guru/#upload-area

I tested one of the P65 files and converted to PDF and it was a bit of a mess but seemed to work - might be an option if you need to extract text/images or something else.

Hope it helps.

Sorry! I changed the access so you should be able to get to the files on Google Drive. Thanks so much!

Hi ,

I have CS6 and might be able to convert these files for you.

I'll need access to the files on your Googe Drive.  <------------------>
