Hi, after the latest update to INDD, there seem to be some bugs that sneaked into the release. The menus (either from the top or with right click/control) don't work properly - they blink in and out of existence at random when you click them and don't stay long enough to interact with. Pretty please, could you fix it asap? It affects my work and has a potential to delay the project that so many other teams depend on...

What is the version you are now running? What is your operating system?

You do not give enough info for Adobe to fix it, and posting in the forums isn't a bug report...

I didn't know that, and was looking for a place to contact Adobe team. This forum came up. If there would be another more obvious place to direct this question to - i would've done that. But thank you for caring enough to reply. 

The operating system is MacOS Monterey. 
INDD version 18.4 (the latest at the time of writing). 
Also experienced the same as Robert Tkatchyk posted about the Indd not closing. Had to force quit a couple of times through Activity Monitor, as nothing else worked. 
After some time, and quitting and restarting a few times, it corrected itself or started working again. Was able to finish the document eventually, but the quitting error is still here, and in general feels unsafe. 

Next time will try to restore the previous preferences, as Steve Werner suggested (Thank you!).

Sosmetimes it's helpful to restore your InDesign preferences and caches after a new update to solve minor problems. I'd suggest trying this to solve the problem:

Experienced the same recently - but I've thought it's from testing my tool and frequent stopping it during testing - but it looks like it's a bug from the latest update??

Not happening to me: MacBook Pro 2021 running Ventura 13.4.1.

 

It would be helpful if both of you provided system specs. Maybe a Windows issue.

I've noticed one more thing - when you try to close InDesign / document you either can't - or it closes and saves - it's like Enter / OK is pressed automatically...

 

Maybe that's why all other dialogs disappear - somehow instant "confirmation" is executed?

Hi @Robert at ID-Tasker , Did you clear your Caches folder, and then Prefs if that doesn’t work? UI problems are often cache related.
