I have a document that I want to flip the layout of, however when flipping the text boxes it also flips the text, is there a way to do this and retain the text?

Here a very simple sample of two text frames, one on the left, one on the right page of the spine.

Selected with the Direct Selection Tool. Note, that all path points are selected; they are no longer hollow:

After using the flip command on the selection set to center flip:

Lets get this more clear first: what do you mean exactly with 'flip layout'? Or do you mean 'mirror'?

Hi Tom,

select the text frame with the Direct Selection Tool so that all path points of the text frame are selected.

Then flip your selection.
