How do delete a template from an InDesign document?

I downloaded a template from a printing vendor. I created a booklet, and uploaded the PDF to their website. Now they're telling me that I need to remove the template and upload again.

How do I do this?

Thanks in advance.

The vendor just responded to me. It seems that what they meant is that I need to turn off the Marks before Exporting the file.

Ah. Even better. Simple thing. Yes, i also recommend my clients turn of marks as well. As long as bleed is there, that's all I need to propelry impose and process the file.

@melodyl10715870  Thank you for reaching out to us. In the issue title, you mentioned an InDesign document, whereas the description says PDF file, which is a bit confusing. If feasible, please share the complete details along with screenshots, so that we can assist you better.

Vivek

They are exporting a pdf from an InDesign file. This is a normal thing in the printing industry.

It looks like an InDesign file that contains markup of the safe areas and boundaries. After I downloaded it, I opened it in InDesign and started working. I'm far from an expert in this program. If @Brad @ Roaring Mouse is correct, how would I do that? I'm using the Export option to create the PDF.

It should be as easy as selecting those markups and deleting them.

Is it a template with layers that contain instructions, directions, etc.? Thse items would need to be deleted or hidden before you create your final PDF otherwise they would be unnecessarily included. Hard to ssay without seeing what you are working with. I would hope that they would be have been more descriptive in what they mean.

I am guessing there is something that was in the template file that was for positioning or something similar that should not be printed but you left in. It is hard to help more than that without seeing the template file at the least.

Was the template an InDesign file? Your question seems to have not enough detail to explain your situation.
