Hi, I usually create ePub fliles from InDesign and have been unable to locate how to import an ePub File into InDesign. Is that possible?

Thank you! My students are using public domain epubs for learning. If it helps anyone else, I found that Adobe Digital Editions can print drm-free epubs. https://www.adobe.com/solutions/ebook/digital-editions/download.html
Also, open source Calibre can convert and print them (including to PDF, which Adobe Digital Editions did not appear to allow). https://calibre-ebook.com/download

Are your students creating FXL ePubs and/or Reflowable ePubs and are they converting them to the mobi format so they can be read on a Kindle?
(There is an InDesign ePub forum.)

An exciting trend in education is to use open content and have students create open content. When teaching InDesign, students can focus on design and layout if they don't have to write content and locate or take images. Public domain epubs (and other open content) can allow students to focus on learning design and layout in InDesign. My original question was whether or not ePub files can be imported into InDesign. The answer is no. InDesign can create ePubs, but not import them. In case it helps anyone else visiting this InDesign ePub forum, open source Calibre can convert ePubs into different formats, which is helpful so that instructors can do that and students can focus on design and layout using Adobe InDesign. I highly recommend it to any other instructors!

If you’re using Macs have a look at BBEdit — it’s an excellent tool for opening and editing ePubs.
