Hello,
I've set up page numbering on a long document by the method of Type > Insert Special Character > Marker and it didn't work very well because the numbering is on "back" layer and subsequently numbers are hidden behind on pages with multiple layers (even when I try to send all layers to the back). I would like to delete the markers with one click but I cannot figure out how to do this. Also, if you have a better method of page numbering, I'd love to hear about it.

Make a new layer, make sure it's above the one you have now, and place your page markers on the master page on that higher layer. And you don't have to delete the page markers on your master page. Just select them and you will see a colored dot to the right of the layer that they are on. Just drag that dot to the higher layer, and the selected items will move to that layer.
