how do you get a line break in special character?

I am trying to resize a text box with a section marker so that it makes a second line and I cannot figure out how to change the special character options so that it doesn't just compress the text when I shrink the text box.

Hi Jens,

if the variable conatins a single section marker I see no way to split that contents into two variables.

can you show a screenshot of a typical section marker you want to split to two lines?

You mean using a variable like a running header?
That's still not possible in the year 2021... a variable is treaded as one character and always smushed into the textframe.
