How to add protection to your epub -And can it be done in Adobe - DRM or Watermark - copyright

I wish to know if DRM is automaticly added to epub when saved & exported? OR  whether it's this is possible to add to my files with Adobe or is it a seperate software that I will need to purches?  

Basicly I a a small independ start up buisness that would need to add a layer of protection against copy right  infringements. Please if you could advice thae best way to go about this, or any infomation you have plaese.
