How to change a grey scale document to black no tints (black and White)

Hi All,

I am a beginner so please bare with me if this is a very basic question, but i have scoured the internet and can't find any help. I have a tag that i have designed but the printers have told me that it has to be black with no tints. At the moment there are logos with several shades of grey.

Is there a way of changing this automatically?

Thank you in advance!

Kind Regards,

Hannah

You presumably have to convert all objects to black. You sometimes have to do this for certain reproduction processes, such as foil blocking.

Open it in photoshop and use Level to change it to black and white.

Hi Hannah,

If a printer told me that, I would find a different printer (unless there was a special reason, such as Derek mentioned). Is the image in grey scale and not rgb or cmyk?
