How to clear cache or preferences for InDesign?

I've researched online but nothing seems to be working for me in what I've found, but how do you delete your cache or preferences folder for InDesign? My program is running prehistorically slow.

Running on Adobe CC and Windows 7 Enterprise.

Restore all preferences and default settings

  1. (Windows) Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
  2. (Mac OS) While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
