How to create a booklet PDF in macOS?
I have this newspaper in the format of an A4 sheet folded in the middle. It's easy to setup InDesign to work this way, also it's easy to print using the booklet print option in File's menu. However, to send to a third person the file to print is a problem. Let's see...
- By exporting to PDF, the pages will be in sequence and will be needed to manually orginize those pages to print in the right order, side by side.
- There is an option to export mirroring pages, however, the last page is not joined to the first one, still need to be done later.
- By printing to a file, the only option is Post Script. Acrobat does not open the file right and Illustrator will only open the first sheet (with last + first pages).
- I also tried to open the exported PDF with Acrobat and to drag the last page to the front. But Acrobat does not merge/join pages (as far I know).
I am trying some third part software. Still didn't find a PDF virtual printer - will solve the problem by simply printing the booklet to a PDF file instead of PS. Some apps convert the PS to PDF but does not have options so I can turn the sheet to have the right orientaion.
Anyway, any ideas?
