Hello.
I am attempting to generate an interactive PDF in InDesign that would have drop down menus with three (3) values; 1, 2 and 3. The numbers would each have an assigned color to them, ie 1 = yellow, 2 = orange and 3 = red. So when the user selected the number two from the drop down menu, it would display yellow but it a number 3 was selected, it would display as red. Is this possible?

This is possible, but you can only do it with Acrobat Pro using JavaScript, bearing in mind that the numbers will only change colour once they have been selected.

I am truly hoping this is indeed possible. I used chatGPT to see if there was a way to achieve my desired outcome. It was somewhat in line with what you were saying. It generated the javascript code, I followed the steps by opening the PDF in Acrobat Pro, pasted the javascript, modified it to match my parameters and still no luck.
Have you been able to achieve something like this in an interactive PDF?

Please share your PDF and the ChatGPT script. I don't have the time to create one from scratch.
