How to create a new user in Indesign preserving preferences?

I created a new user in Mac Os Catalina /Indesign 2020 but ID does not recognize the preferences asigned to the previous owner.

The idea is not having two users but having a new one as new OSX Catalina has problems with permissions.

You asked this question a few days ago. 

New users, by their definition, have theor own preferences. You can copy them over but would you be better off recreating them--it should only take 5-10 minutes.

If you haven’t deleted the old user account (or have a backup), the InDesign preference folder can be copied to the new account. So copy the Version 15.0 folder from here:

/Users/olduser/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/Version 15.0

Into the new user Adobe InDesign folder replacing the existing Version 15.0 folder

/Users/newuser/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/
