Hi there, I have to create a PDF interactive for a client yes or yes

I have pieces of texts in text frames that I need to change to hyper links to go to a certain page

I need them also to change colour when i hover over them

However, I have been testing this and it looks like I can not have both

I can do the hyperlinks no problem, but it wont change colour on the rollover

I can do the rollover, but then it doesnt support the hyperlink

How can I fix this?

Hi @Aidan28610574w1n9,

Thank you for reaching out. I will try my best to help. I found this tutorial that might help you achieve your results: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldFdIXgCmUg&ab_channel=DoubleEffectTrainingHouseAdmin.

Let us know if that helps. I am also keeping the discussion open for our experts, who might have more suggestions for you.

Thanks,

Harshika

Thanks but it doesnt help me

The video doesnt show how to use a different image for the rollover ..

My problem is that I cant use both functions

Do you have a step by step to help me turn an object into an internal hyperlink and do the rollover of a different colour when I hover over it to click it? so frustrating thanks

Do not use multi-state buttons on an Interactive PDF, they can be unreliable on some PDF readers and won't work at all on portable devices, such as Smartphones and Tablets. Stick to simpler hyperlinks.

You'd have to convert them to buttons but even if you can figure it out, what you're asking for is never going to work on mobile devices, third-party PDF readers or browsers. These effects do not lend themselves to the PDF format at all.

I am using a reference to an interactive PDF that works perfectly - buttons and hyperlinks combined. How come I can´t do the same?

I know it wont work on tablets or phones but this is for a submission that is strictly PDF so I am not left with other options

Anyone have solutions rather than avoiding the problem?
