How to delete - in InDesign

Hello,

 

who can tell me how to delete "-" in text.

As previously stated, hyphenation is enabled as a default. Why? To increase readability and to minimize the ragged right edge on body copy.

 

You can turn it off on a selection by disabling the Hyphenation checkbox in the Paragraph view of the Control panel, then—if you are using styles—redefine the style definition in the Styles panel to update the other occurences of that style.

Yes, you have Hyphenation turned on in the Paragraph Style of your body text (hopefully you are USING styles). As mentioned, turn hyphenation off for that Style (and any others you don't want, while you're at it). By deafult, the Basic Paragraph Style in ID has Hyphenation on, which is probably where this came from.

Do you mean the hyphenation i.e. the - that appears after com and communi in your text. If so then turn off the hyphenate option in the paragraph style that is applied on the text
