After a recent update, my InDesign is now showing all these stupid pop-ups the whole time.
Screenshot attached. To be absolutely clear, I am talking about the entire dialogue box, not the tool-tip illustrateed in a section of the dialogue box shown.
How do I kill them off once and for all ? I've looked through Preferences but canot spot anything obvious.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you all for sharing your feedback and concerns about the "Learn More" pop-ups in InDesign. I completely understand how disruptive these can be, and it's clear they are causing frustration for many of you.
While these pop-ups aren’t technically a bug, we do recognize that they can be an inconvenience for some users. We’re looking into ways to improve this experience and are considering options that would allow you more control-such as the ability to disable them permanently i

Understood, and I changed my reply accordingly.
As a polyglot, I just had never heard of these languages referred to as RTL before, and Hebrew & Arabic (along with Egyptian hieroglyphics, which can be either RTL or LTR or TTB, but not BTT) are among the 34 languages that I currently study.

We're working on escaping Adobe. We have been using Affinity Publisher as a replacement for InDesign for a few months, and so far, it has been totally satisfactory (though we are a pretty simple use case). If InDesign was our only Adobe chain, we would be free already. As of now, we haven't tried the other Affinity products.

My colleague is experimenting with Affinity Photo and can effortlessly load a huge Photoshop file with dozens of layers. Smart objects are directly included, no need to create them, and adjustment layers work the same way. I wonder if anyone at Adobe will start thinking about why long-time users are considering alternative software. Probably not, since they're too busy creating more popup windows.

I would say not yet, but users are putting quite a bit of pressure on them. RTL Fixer can be temporary solution. I don't need RTL, so it's not a very important feature for me. But I expect that they might solve this issue in the near future.

What if you can't even click the pop up to close it? Suddenly with a recent update I assume, the popups are oversized and only partially show, so I can't click to close them. I can't work with them covering part of my document. I'm on a laptop with high res display. If I adjust the scaling smaller, I can't read anything, all the text and icons are microscopic. Adobe really needs to provide a way to disable these.

I had to crash Photoshop just to get rid of the #@$% blue tooltip, too, even after I'd closed the garbage pop-up!

Adobe's continuous appeal to the sunday-user is f*cking up my professional workflow.
Adobe. Cut the crap. The distraction while in the middle of a workflow process costs me time.
Hey! How about giving us a PROFESSIONAL subscription! one in which the user has CONTROL over how frequently updates occur and is not nagged by the "hey! hey! look what we just did" diologues UNTIL he/she decides to check them out all at once.

I'm sure Paul Trani is a really nice guy, but I don't need a popup video of him showing me the new AI features. I'm trying work. It's becoming very frustrating. Those things should be limited to the home screen. If I want to learn something new I'll look there. Othewise keep the popups out of my files while I'm trying to work.

This is still happening. In 2025. No way to turn off these annoying blue bars. I get one almost every day that I open InDesign.

These pop ups have got to stop! It keeps telling me the same things on repeat while I'm trying to work. Make it stop, for the love of God.

My favorite is when InDesign crashes repeatedly and forces you to endure the same Tours and Tips over and over and over and over and over.
Stop asking me to invite people to my library. Stop asking me to share my work. Stop dangling new features in front of my workspace, disrupting my workflow. Most people have a specific goal in mind every time they open these applications - interruptions are just an annoying obstacle to overcome before achieving that goal, closing the software for the day, and getting on with life. Stop advertising your products to people who are already paying to use them. Give us an opt out.
And while I'm at it - can you please stop telling me via popup that I can "update my profile" every time I interact with the Adobe Community? We know how web forums work. Believe it or not, we use digital products regularly!

For now, and unless someone has discovered a disable option, all I have found was reporting it:

Alas! No. At least not yet. But I did ask for it to be added to preferences.

There's a long thread on the subject:

The readers are not aware of the upvote button. I suppose that a lot more than 25 have read this thread, seeking a solution for that nuisance.

Hi everyone,
I appreciate all the feedback shared. Just wanted to let you know that this is something the product team is actively looking into. We’re working on improvements, and I’ll share any updates as soon as I have them. Thanks for your patience and for being part of the InDesign community!
Best,
Abhishek

Abhishek, for what it's worth I'd like to reiterate that it's clear to many of us that these popups wouldn't happen as often as they do, or ever again, if the ID team could once and for all solve the years-long issue of ID constantly forgetting our personal Workspace setup. No other app does this, including other Adobe apps. It's been infuriating and a productivity pylon.

When do you think you could actively remove those horrible popups? Will it be this year or within a couple of years?

Are they? We're 8 months in and counting. Although there are older threads in the community tackling the same issue.
I pay Adobe invoice on monthly basis. Can we see one less pop up with the same frequency you guys send us bills?
