How to Fix Inconsistent Paragraph Spacing in InDesign

Hi all, I hope you are well! I'm just a little rusty with InDesign, and I can't figure out why the spacing on these 2 different paragraphs is different. They are both the same settings with 0 space after on the line before, yet one is further away than the other!

Looks like the pilcrow at the end (the hidden paragraph return) is a larger font size.

If it's auto leading, then it's using the leading of the largest font size - which is the hidden character.

Make the paragraph return at the end (the pilcrow) the same size as the rest of the text.

Don't use Auto leading--define it with an absolute number.
