Hi all, Is there a way to get small caps and mediaeval numbers in an epub3. I have tried a lot of options but none seem to work. Best sofar was to reuce font size for small caps, but it still doen not look acceptable.

Hi 1955,
I don't know about "medieval numbers" (maybe as graphics?) but small caps may or may not appear in epub reader systems. Epub readers vary in what they support, and most won't. However, some say it can work. Here is a reference:

They say make sure to use a character style to make the small caps. Then, test in various popular reader softwares. Remember that many epub reader systems greatly simplify the presentation, so try not to apply a book-typesetter's training to the much-simpler epub world.

@Mike Witherell 'Mediaeval numbers', are what in American English is mostly called 'Old Style Figures' 😉

Interesting! I didn't know that. I was imagining the OP meant uncial-style lettering. Is the expression "Medieval numbers" a common expression in Europe?

I salute your use of the ash character, the nearly-extinct ae fusion ligature. My American English computer coupled together with google won't accept that spelling without changing it to simplified American spelling. But I do acknowledge that you had the language first!
