    Hi rathins54482005,

the Page Curl effect was tied to Flash.

All things Flash were removed from InDesign 2020:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/whats-new/2020.html#flash_format

If for whatever reasons you want Page Curl in your exported PDFs go back to InDesign CC 2019.

    Regards,

i also miss the page curl transition, our internal company newsletter used it and i think the employees (more older than young may be why). will there be anything coming in a future update to replace it? please + thank you!

There are third-party solutions such as this: https://www.instantflipbook.com

Or you might consider InDesign's Publish Online facility – it doesn't have a page-flip effect, but it can be opened on any device with Internet access and it can be enabled so the reader can download a PDF  version of the document.

thank you derek! unfortunately, the company i work for blocks any type of online file-sharing for security purposes, so the publish online feature doesn't work for me. distribution really isn't an issue, i just wanted the curl...

Page curl/flip becomes irritating for the reader after a while, if you must have it, look at this kind of thing:
