How to make a ring shape in InDesign. Not circle but a ring.

As above, how can I make ring in adobe indesign. I need ring shape in indesign, without background - only the ring shape which I can put on the picture etc.

    Hi,

    Once you get the circle you get the ring by applying different strokes on it.

    Or,

    Using ellipse tool you make one circle of some radius say X. Make another circle of radius less than X and place them so that their centers coincide (for exact ring). Ensure the smaller circle is above the larger one.

    Open Pathfinder panel from Window->object and layout.

    Select both your circles and then choose "subtract option" from the pathfinder.

    This way you can get many ring shapes, with no background.

    Obviously, there can be many other ways to make rings.
