Hi
I need output pdf with H&J Highlights, so that we can validate the H&J without native file. Is there any options in applesctipt/javascript.
Thanks in Advance

The colour you see in InDesign is not solid, it will vary depending on
the amount of HnJ violation.

So you were able to include dynamic spelling. Is it a different plug-in or the one you made for Vinoth?
Thanks

Hello MJP29,
I have added to the plugin that Vinoth has.
Currently I can draw the squgly lines under what is in view, what has
been cached.
I am afraid I will be tied up for some time with other projects. I
will come back to this and see if we can make it work for you.
All the best.

You will need to change zap to zip.
No grantees it will do what you want and you use it at your own risk.

Thanks So Much Pickory:
I will let you know how it works out for me.
I need to get the OK from our IT department here first to install it.
Thanks
Again

You are amazing! It does exactly what I needed it to do. It works perfectly.
I will never have to highlight the misspelled words for proofreaders again. LOL.
Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you again.

This plug-in works great.
Thanks again so very much.
I am wondering when I update to new versions of InDesign
will your plug in work or will it need to be updated?
Thanks

Hello MJP29,
I expect the plugin to work on updates to InDesign CS5 but it will not work in CS6.

the source? Thanks.

Pickory, these don't seem right at all. H&J highlights are a function of the paragraph composer's success at laying out the text, they don't have direct relationship to the character override settings (though of course some settings make the composer's job more difficult and thus more likely to do a bad job).
If we were talking about the kerning/tracking highlights (green), which display when there is nonzero kerning, then this would be appropriate:
if (theChOverrides->ContainsAttribute(kTextAttrTrackKernBoss))
char_overrides = has_overrides = -1;
if (theChOverrides->ContainsAttribute(kTextAttrPairKernBoss))
char_overrides = has_overrides = -1;
though I imagine you'd have to check the avlue as well, and it would not be about wheher there was an override to a style, but whether there was a non-zero value.
But H&J highlights are about wax lines, if I understand the SDK terminology correctly.
That's why Dirk suggested you look at the text adornments...

John, Jongware,
I do detect the hyphenation and kerning / tracking overrides. As to working out how bad the override is, that could be for another day.
Not sure if what I have done is going to be of any use to Vinoth.

Hello Vinoth,
Is a simple indication of an override enough for your purpose?
