I created a fillable worksheet in Adobe InDesign and exported as an Interactive PDF. It has radio buttons but in Acrobat the buttons have a blue highlight box over them. It's completely ruining the design and I want them removed. Not just for me, but for anyone I am sending this to. Is there a solution either from InDesign or Acrobat to hide these highlight boxes?
I don't like the highlighting either and you can disable it as shown in the screen shot below, but as per Bob, it's a system preference and not built into the PDF. Each user will have to turn it off on their own systems.

You can set the preference in Acrobat by including a script in the PDF. I wrote about that in my blog, however note that the blog is in Dutch:

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

This is something you cannot control. It's a function of the PDF reader.
