How to Remove Numbers and Non-Breaking Spaces in Endnotes Using Find/Change

Hi Team,

I changed my endnotes heading style to a numbered list.

Previously there was the number followed by two non-breaking spaces (this is for an ebook)

I want to Find: ^9^S^S   [later ^9^9] / Find Format: notehead

Change to: [blank to delete the number and non breaking spaces] / Change Format: notehead-numlist

Indd is changing the style but not deleting the text number and spaces. What do I need to change?

Thanks, Sid

You also can't search for list numbers, bullets or spacers after them, because they "don't exist" in the document text. They're managed artifacts, more or less, and searches can't see them.

Nevermind this post. I can't use a numbered list because there are numbered lists in the body of some of the notes that throw of the numbering of the notehead list style.
