How to split rows of a table across pages

I have a multi-page table that leaves huge gaps where large rows move to the next page. I had found a script that split table rows across pages, and it was terrific. However, I changed to a new computer and, alas, the script didn't make the trip with me 😞 I can't remember the name of it and I haven't been able to find it again. Does anyone know of this script? 

I see many votes in the community for this feature, and it's hard to understand why Adobe can't manage to do this if an independent scripter figured it out.

Barb, thank you so much!!! It's not the one I had previously found, but it looks SPLENDID! I went through most of the YouTube video and it has way more functions than I think I'll even need, but the one I want is there and it will make working on this huge table soo much easier. Now why doesn't Apple buy this script and pay the developer lots of money and make everyone happy!!!

Well, solutions like you mention actually split the row to achieve the result  — making 2 to n actual rows where you'd like there to be one, in effect. This is not always ideal if, say, rows are numbered or you use alternate row shading, or you have vertically merged cells, or the like. There are always manual, 'hard coded' fixes for limitations like this one, but they are almost always workarounds bordering on hacks, not universal solutions.

I don't disagree that it would be nice to have rows that could flow over multiple pages (which Word has, right?) But I get the idea that ID's table code is a huge obstacle to this seemingly simple update. So for now we compose docs that don't need multi-page table rows. 🙂

Hi James, fortunately all I need is for big rows to split to the next page so they don't leave huge gaps, and this will do it. So I'm happy with it.
