When inserting the html code for a shared youtube video i get the following again and again: "HTML renderer timed out. Could not generate a poster image." I've tried with different videos but always get the same message. This started to happen suddenly. A few weeks ago it was all right, but now it stopped working. Any ideas? Thanks.

It's not clear what format you’re outputting from InDesign - can you elucidate.

It's not when i output from inDesign but simply when i use the "insert html" feature. Nevertheless it has solved itself by its own. I believe it has to do whith very slow connections or different IP in the connection than the usual. I was not at home when this happened. Now its working fine again. Thanks.

Hm, I think there was a similar issue posted with the same message.
Context:
Menu: Object > Insert HTML…
Output to Publish Online.
Laura,
perhaps YouTube changed something?
Is the publish online document from a few weeks ago still working?
Can you show the HTML code from that working document?
Is it from the same InDesign version that you are using today?

Thanks Laubender. It was not exactly the same issue posted. I read that post and it was not what was happening to me. Anyway it's been solved.

I am having the same problem, how did you solve it? Thanks!

I didn't. The problem persists whenever i'm at my mom's. I believe it has something to do with the IP or the low speed connection.
