This is not the correct answer, this is an observation. Please unmark it and if possible pass these comments on to the relevant adobe department. This is a worrying fact that a major part of the software is not functioning in the latest two versions.
I've reported this as a bug as well as this ask for help, so far, despite 23.3K views no one has offered any support / confirmation that it's a problem that will be looked into or fixed.
Since this is a very important feature of indesign and part of my workflow can any one point me in the direction of who to contact regarding getting this to the relavant people.
Links in interactive documents published from InDesign 19.3 still work, you could try rolling back your indesign version, that's what we have had to do. good luck 🙂
Hi @Laubender Thanks for your reply, exported as PDF (Interactive). We've been making 100's of interactive Pdf's for nearly 10 years and a have sadly seen features fall by the wayside it would be devistating to see this one go. Have you tried to make a simple document in 19.4 or 19.5? it does still work in 19.3 but not being able to update to the latest version worries me.
Hi @MARIA GUADALU22034755w574 Can i ask you if you got hyperlinks from an interactive Pdf to a text anchor in another interactive Pdf to work in the latest version of Indesign 19.5? I ask because it still doesn't work for me and if it's working for other people then it would be good to know. if it does then what is your set up, ie Mac / operating system. Thanks in advance 🙂
First I checked all my hyperlinks worked (number 13 is not a hyperlink). Then, I exported as either PDF (Interactive) or PDF (Print) with Hyperlinks option enabled.

Hi. My Hyperlinks are to websites and to other pdfs.
If any of the hyperlinks to another pdf file do not work, you can edit them in Adobe. Choose Edit link, and check again if the hyperlink to your other pdf file is ok. It usually is. Close the window and the hyperlink will work. I just did that.
Ahh, right, OK, thanks for all your replies. Since you're on a PC I'm thinking it might be something to do with the Mac, either Silicone or the OS. Because everything works fine in Indesign 19.3 I'm just working in that version for now. I think I'll ring up the Adobe tech helpline next week when I'm not so busy and see what they make of things. Thank you for taking the time to have a look for me though! Legend.

Another method to try is to hyperlink your PDFs to Publish Online documents, I've found this to work succesfully and you can use the additional features that this format offers.
Alas the work is confidential and can not be published online but thanks for your suggestion. The problem here is that Hyperlinks in interactive Pdf's published from InDesign 19.4 and 19.5 are not working, I even tested the new Beta version and it doesn't work in that either. This feature should work in the latest versions.
