I can't find a way to copy an image from InDesign and paste it to the desktop.

I can't find a way to copy an image from InDesign and paste it to the desktop.

If there is an image in your InDesign file, it has been imported from somewhere in your computer, so why don't you locate it and copy it on your desktop?

Did you try selecting the graphic and export?

To add to others' answers, you can choose File menu > Export and then choose JPEG, PNG, or other formats. That would do the trick for you, I think.

File menu > Export chooses the whole file. I don't see a way for choosing just the graphic. Dumb me!

You can Save and choose (for example) JPG from the drop-down menu. But it will be the whole page.
