I need two versions of InDesign on my computer for compatibility with a colleague. I had updated to 19.4 and when I reinstalled 19.2, it overwrote 19.4. Can we no longer have two versions?

I think @Robert at ID-Tasker is correct. You can't have 2 subversions installed. You could have InDesign 9.4 and InDesign 8.x.

Why does your colleague not update from 9.2 5o 9.4?

You can have two or more major versions installed (18 and 19), but not more than one minor version (19.2a and 19.4).

normally, there should be no compatibility issues between 19.2 and 19.4. what kind of issues do you experience?

I'm not sure you can have two sub versions of the same major version.

Maybe if you install with a different language?

They're using an old computer but will be updating soon so the problem is moot (or "moo").
