I want to be able to enter JavaScript in InDesign and have it active when a PDF is generated.

I have an InDesign document with fields for calculations in Acrobat. Everytime I make a change in the InDesign document I have to generate a new PDF and re-enter the JavaScript in the field(s).

Is there a way to enter the JavaScript code in InDesign and have it in the PDF so it does not need to be re-entered?

FormMaker Pro looks like exactly what you want.


I always do all of my forms work in Acrobat, so when I need to adjust layout in InDesign I simply make the change, export a fresh print PDF, and then go back to my interactive PDF in Acrobat and Replace All Pages. I've make an AutoHotkey script that lets me do all of this with a single keystroke. 

 

However, I'm looking at FormMaker Pro right now, and wondering if it would save me $300/yr of time.

FormMaker Pro looks like exactly what you want.

    Thanks, I will try that. Frankly, I want to be able to place all the Javascript in InDesign so it would be present when ever a PDF is created. This way when I export a web site using in5 from InDesign the same Javascript is there. Anybody else us in5?
