InDesign not launched after numerous trial. A idlk file left on desktop but how to open and which programme to open such file, please?

Alas, you won't be able to open a .idlk/InDesign lock file in any program.
The file is created as an adjunct to opening an InDesign document/template file to preclude others from opening the file at the same time. If you're having problems opening an InDesign document or template file, one way to get around the issue is to shut down from InDesign and delete all the .idlk lock files. This generally lets you open any associated document or template file that is blocked from opening by errant .id

So I'd recommend, rather than trying to open that .idlk file, you shut down out of InDesign and then dispatch it without mercy. Which may help you open your .indd/.indt files again.
Hope this helps,
Randy
