Importing Illustrator with multiple artboards

Hi guys,

After I placed multiple artboards from an Illustrator .ai file into InDesign, is there a way to change the Artboard number (and ofc the respective artwork) after it's been placed or do I have to go through Place–Choose File–Import Options–Select Artboard Number for each Artboard again and again?

It would be way more convenient if – after the Artboard has been placed – I'd be able to quickly change the respective Artboard number in the Links window.

I have found some scripts allowing me to quickly change the Artboard number after placing; however I am  startled that such option isn't built in InDesign already. Or maybe I have just been looking at all the wrong places 🙂

Thanks

Pavel

I wrote an article - not the script - for a handy way to access the Show Options
