In the pink

New Here ,
Nov 20, 2025 Nov 20, 2025

Recently my CS6 InDesign had pink around all the text in my newsletter. The font choices Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic are in wrong order and have [brackets around them.]  Whole page is pink, but i can still read the black fonts. It prints out without the pink, and a PDF isn't affected, but it's tough to see through all that as I'm composing or cutting-and-pasting.  Hellllppp!!!!                                             Bill D.

Hey Bill,

What typeface is this related to?

Pink hinting means a font is no longer available/installed on your computer.

What version of windows OS are you running?

Did you open a really old file?

Hi @Energetic_friend4353 , If a font is enclosed in brackets in the font menu, it is missing:

And the font typeface might be Times New Roman in the current patch of windows 11. Others report this font is missing after a KB5068861 patch around November 11, 2025. Uninstalling Microsoft Security Update KB5068861 reportedly (allegedly) restored the use of that system font.
