Published InDesign document on 7th November during the Adobe backend issue. We had trouble publishing the document during that time, which was probably due to the outage.
Since being published, the analytic data showing in Adobe dashboard is incredibly low, compared to the tracking we are recieveing on click-rate.
The banner ads/ URL's we posted to drive traffic to the document are showing a click-through figure of 183k. In comparison, the published document is only showing 145 views in total, in the Adobe dashboard, which is a huge gap between figures.
Would this be caused by the service outage, and is there a way to recuperate more accurate data?

Thanks Rishabh, I've sent you the link directly, with a little more context.
Appreciate if you could look into this and what might have caused the low analytics in Adobe dashboard. Thanks!

Thank you for your patience @Amy22149358zk1a. Can you confirm if you have tried re-publishing the document again after the outage? And, are you still observing the issues with analytics data or was it for the day only when the outage happened?
Thanks

Thanks Rishabh. Yes - I re-published the document last week, following the outage, in the hope that it might jolt the analytics - but no luck.
And yes, we are still observing the issue. We are only at 240 views in total on the document, whereas the click-rate for the supporting banners driving to the document are showing a click-rate of 180k+. We usually achieve between 2-4k views on our published documents, and this document is unusually low in comparison.

Thank you for your patience, Amy. Since the document was published on 19.0 version, you'll need to check Google Analytics to measure traffic and track engagement on your published documents. For more information, please check this discussion. We made this change in 19.0v so please check that and let us know if you still need assistance.

Hi @Rishabh_Tiwari, Thanks for your response.
We weren't aware of this change so we published without the Google Analytics connection. Given we published this document two weeks ago, should we assume we've lost those two weeks of data? Or if I were to republish now and link the URL to Google Analytics, would we be able to recover the last two weeks of view data?
Further, does this update mean that Adobe no longer shows any accurate analytics in the platform itself, and the only way to generate accurate analytics is to build this Google Analytics connection for every piece of content we publish?
Is there anything you can do on your side to help us recover accurate view data from the last two weeks? Thank you.

Hi @Amy22149358zk1a ,
Documents published from InDesign 19.0 onwards will no longer support integrated analytics from the dashboard. You can integrate Google Analytics for document insights. Analytics for documents published from the previous versions of InDesign will continue to be collected until October 15, 2024, after which no new analytics will be collected.
You can download historical analytics data for documents published from InDesign versions before 19.0 from the Publish Online dashboard. For more details, please check this document:
I am also getting this checked by the team and will update this discussion as soon as I hear from the team.
Thanks

Thanks @Rishabh_Tiwari .
As we published with the latest 19.0 version, the historical data download from InDesign doesn't provide any additional insight as to what is already shown in the InDesign dashboard. And as we didn't intergrate Google analytics, this data isn't an accurate reflection.
Really apprecaite if you are able to look into whether we are able to retrieve the data we have lost from not intergrating Google Analytics. Thank you.
