Install this script.

If you don't know how, read this

https://creativepro.com/how-to-install-scripts-in-indesign/

Then, go to Window > Scripts and double click on the script, locate your file. The script will create an idml version of your file. Open this idml version and resave it. Please note that I am not the author of this script.

Try to reset preferences: quit InDesign and relaunch it while holding down the Shift, Ctrl and Alt keys [Windows], Shift, Ctrl, Alt and Cmd keys [Mac] until you see a warning message asking for confirmation.

Now I can open a new file and some of my old files but there is one in particular (the one that I need) that every time I try to open it, the program arrives to the part that infoms me I have some missing link to the images and that crashes. So probably the problem is in my file.

Is it possible to try to solve the problem and restore my file or shoukd I have to cancel it?

Thanks
