InDesign 15.0.2 - have to open every document twice before it'll load them properly

Indesign 15.0.2 - every time I open an Indesign file, it either will not load the text in the document at all or it'll load corrupted text. Doesn't matter what font is being used. I have to close it down and then immediately re-open and it loads fine. Pain in the neck!

How much RAM?

Have you tried resetting your InDesign preferences?

Did you try cleaning and resetting your roaming and local cached data folders for InDesign?
