The Adobe MAX update for InDesign (16.0) is now available for download through the CC desktop application.
Let's hear about the features from the Engineers themselves:
"Creating paths around an object in an image is a tedious and intricate job. This Max, we are introducing Sensei Powered Subject Aware text wrap targeted to reduce user's efforts by creating these paths automatically in a single click. If there is a prominent ‘subject’ inside an image, the feature will come in handy to quickly wrap text around the subject."
To understand the possibilities of this feature, see Wrap text around an object in one-click!
“The new Color tab in Find/Change Dialog would really be helpful to the users by pointing out to them the use of colors in the document and allow them to replace those which do not comply with brand guidelines. The colors that are defined in unused styles and usually remain hidden can now be found with the help of this feature.”
"Locate color will help users to quickly identify and eliminate unused colors in a document.
The new color tab in the Find/Change dialog allows users to locate and change the occurrences of the selected color in InDesign documents."
See Find and change colors for more information.
“With the introduction of HSB color module, InDesign has solved the inconsistency that the users were facing who work in multiple Adobe Products. We understand that HSB is the most natural colorspace to pick colors on the screen and the most suitable for designers and artists. From now on, users can choose HSB color on the fly in InDesign itself. No more extra step in calculating color values!!”
"We have re-introduced Place Video from URL and Navigation Points in Media panel along with few know bug fixes of media panel becoming huge. With these new features, customers should now be able to work as seamlessly as they did earlier."
"Customers documents get corrupt due to multiple factors both internal and external to InDesign application. These customers would be on a strict deadline and they would like the document to be recovered immediately but sending it to Adobe and hearing a response might be late. Hence we have introduced Recovery as a Service so that customers are enabled to get their document recovered themselves and we could add recovery techniques behind the scenes without actually releasing a new InDesign release."
Share for Review enhancements: Use the expanded set of text capabilities such as Highlight text, Strikethrough text, and Replace text. For more details, please see the InDesign Share for Review – FAQ.
