InDesign '17 won't convert data

Trying to open some InDesign files I was working on pre-update last week, but running into a hitch.

InDesign opens a dialogue box saying it's 'Converting Data' but then drops the box away about 1/4 of the way through the progress bar. Nothing happens, nothing opens.

Have changed the preferences to prevent it scanning for broken links before opening (there was something mentioned here a while back about that) but it's not worked.

Thanks (in advance) for your help.

Running: Macbook Pro 10.12.1 with InD CC 17.

Hi Frazer,

Is this happening with multiple documents or some specific document. After it does not open, does it give any error message? After this document does not open, are you able to open any other document or create new documents?

If it is document specific, can you please send one such document to ansjain@adobe.com, it will help in reproducing the issue.

Thanks

-Anshul
