Hi guys,
Sounds like the 18.2 version has a problem on my computer regarding Activation of Adobe fonts.

Adobe fonts now are not activatedproperly. I've got

- The activation wheel keeps spinning.
- The task can't be cancelled, can't be skipped (that function would be nice to add). Therefore, I have to close/ run again the app in order to be able to export my file into a pdf.

- The font is however available and shown correctly.

- Activation via Typeface doesn't seem to work all the time.

Am I the only one having this issue ?

Hi @-Dain-,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble activating Adobe fonts on your computer with the 18.2 version. We would need few more details to understand and investigate the issue.

  • Which operating system you're working on?
  • Would you mind telling us if you are activating the fonts from fonts.adobe.com?
  • Are you able to see the fonts in the Creative Cloud Desktop app?
  • Does that happen with other Adobe apps as well?
  • Is it happening with all fonts or with a specific file?
  • Is it a Type 1 Font?

We will try our best to help.

Thanks,

Harshika

First, I would suggest signing out and then signing in again to the Creative Cloud desktop app. I have seen that clear up font activation problems in the past. If that does not work then try going to https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html. Instructions are there for uninstalling and then reinstalling Creative Cloud. Hopefully, getting a clean install of Creative Cloud will clear up your issues.
