InDesign 18.5 x64 Crashes when selecting the Download folder in File Explorer for exporting/saving

Question

After picking save as, save as copy or export file explorer will open to choose the location. If i select the "Downlaods" Folder in windows file explorer and indesign will freeze and have many Adobe CEP HTML engine errors in task manager. This is happening on all computers with indesign for us. Started about a month ago.

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
