InDesign 19.2 2024 unable to launch stuck in menu cannot interact windows 11

indesign is not launching, i click run- the artwork pops up- then opens the indesign menu. I can't interact with anything on this menu, i can't even close indesign and have to close it through the task manager. I've tried deleting indesign files that are show on app freeze/crash on launch https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/crash-on-launch.html#DLL and reinstalling but the issue continues. I'm on windows 11 and the version of indesign is 19.2, would love some help asap thank you in advance.

    Try to trash preferences first:

    If it doesn't help - use CC Cleaner - also mentioned there.

    if i use cc cleaner will my other adobe programs and files be deleted as well?

    It's a "nuclear" option:

    Reset with the nuclear option (4)

    If that does not help either, uninstall the application using the CC Cleaner tool and reinstall from the Creative Cloud Desktop app.

    It will REMOVE all CC apps completely - so you should backup - just in case - all your personal data you have in the installation forlders.

     

    If you keep your work files somewhere else - you should be fine but you can backup them as well - just in case.

      Sorry to hear you're unable to launch InDesign on windows machine. Would you mind trying to open InDesign in safe mode and let us know if that open file?

       

      You may also try creating a new user account: https://adobe.ly/3Iseu7p and try opening InDesign and let us know if that works.
