Indesign 20.4.1 Very slow on importing files and trying to select text boxes

Hi,

using Mac M2 pro with Sequoia 15.5 no probs with machine, but this version of indesing 20.4.1 seems to lag on inporting small file no bigger than 1mb. Also can no longer select graphic or text boxes on top of each other, I mean real 5-6 second lags just to select a box. Scrolling with the hand tool is really bad aswell.

Anyone experiencing the same problems?

Noticed there's a small lag in 20.4 and then I updated to the 20.4.1 and it's the same lag.

I reverted to 20.4 and it's slightly lagging selecting objects, compared to 2023 version of Indesign.

Lots of parts of InDesign can cause a slow-down.

Try turning off the GPU Performance in the InDesign settings.

The GPU performance box is un-checked.
The problems still exist
