InDesign 2022 Compatibility with Mac OS Catalina

I'm having issues in the above environment. The 2020 version works OK but this new version is giving me fits. I can start a file and then sometimes when saving it tells me the file needs repairs or worse it tells me the file is corrupt and can't be saved. Sometimes it does save and reopen. Still giving me problems when I save. I can make PDFs that represent where the work was when I finished. I can't work this way anybody have any suggestions?

    Hi everybody,
Due to a major issue with my employer, who allowed me to use a MacBook with the latest operating system, I'm currently facing a major problem.

Until last year, I used my iMac with OS Catalina (the latest update) in combination with Adobe CC.
Because of this problem, I'm temporarily forced to return to my iMac; however, I can no longer download InDesign and Illustrator for the aforementioned OS Catalina.

Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance!

Short answer: Nobody here can help. You can throw yourself on the mercy of Adobe but I doubt using the "my computer is old" argument is going to get you anywhere with them.

And please, in the future, for your own benefit, do not re-open old discussions. It's a good way to have your issue ignorned since many people won't even see it.

I'm going to lock this to avoid any future confusion.

Tell us more about your system: Please tell us what operating system (exactly) you're running. Please tell us (exactly) what InDesign version you're using.

Does this happen with more than one file? Try restoring your preferences and caches following these directions:

    I am running MacOS Catalina Version 10.15.7. It's an: iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017); 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5; 64 GB 2400 MHz DDR4; Radeon Pro 575 4 GB.

My inDesign is: InDesign 2022; V17.1. My problem happens with an file I use. It could be a file created in the 2020 version (which seems to be quite stable for now) or with a new file created in the 2022 version. If I restor preferences and caches as you suggest will this effect the 2020 version? For now I intend to go back to using that version until I can figure out the problem but if restoring preferences etc. wipes out what goes with the 2020 version then I'm reluctant to do this. I was planning on upgrading my system to at least Big Sur to see if that eliminates the problem. Your thoughts?

Each version has its own preferences.
