I work on a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) with a BenQ SW271 display. My Adobe Indesign crashes every time on launch. I have tried many different things to solve this problem that I've found in this community. I tired to go back to 2021 version but it still crashes on launch. Please help if possible.

Hey

Can you let us know what version of InDesign?

Does the crash happen if you unplug the monitor or try a different monitor?

I appreciate you have tried things - but I don't know what you have tried.

Below are a collection of fixes that you may have already tried or may or may not work:

Try resetting your preferences:
The easiest way to reset everything is to delete the InDesign preferences: as soon as InDesign starts to boot hold down Shift, Alt, Ctrl (and Apple/Cmd if working on a Macintosh). A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.
Further info and instructions here if needed:

Reinstalling rarely fixes everything - you can do a complete reinstall using the
Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
