InDesign 2024 Lock File Issue Leading to File Corruption

We are using indesign 2024 and we were able to open the same file from our work server at the same time. Now the file is corrupted! Is there a solution for this?

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry you're having trouble with the lock file in InDesign 2024.

To help us better understand and resolve the issue, could you please let us know if the file is stored on a remote server? If so, try moving the file locally to your machine and then attempt to open it.

Also, as you shared that you are using macOS Ventura version 13.5, would you mind updating it to macOS Sonoma 14.6? 

It would also be helpful if you could share a screenshot of any error message that appears when trying to open the file. Additionally, if possible, please share the .indd file with us for testing.

If the file is corrupted - there is not much you can do. 

Do you have backup copies?
