I was also having this issue with Indesign 2024 on Windows 11. I discovered that if I downloaded Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center, the mouse started scrolling quickly again.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Not seeing that issue here on Windows 11.

From the posts on this, I am guessing that some small aspect of ID's cursor-movement code was changed (possibly updated in all good principle), and some mouse/pointing device drivers have a shortcut or bit of obsolete code that doesn't properly mesh. That's all WAG, but that some notable number of users would lose one axis of control or one 'key' only in ID... updating the input device driver and inquring with them would seem to be the only solution.

Problem fix by using a Dell mouse.  InDesign 2024 does not work with a Microsoft made mouse.

I'm having the same issue on my Dell laptop. The touchpad scroll to move around artboards isn't working in InDesign. I have to use the scroll bars, which is pretty annoying.

Yup, me too. Windows 11 and the Indesign update has hobbled the scroll on my Microsoft Arc mouse. I manage to get some halting jerky scrolling out of it if I really try, by some reason, enabling touch on my Wacom and using the scroll on that first. And the my mouse scroll works if I'm hovering in the actual scroll bar on the page. But as with the other users, this is solely an Indesign 2024 problem, the mouse is working everywhere else.

I'm so frustrated I tried to go back to the old version, but now it just makes my laptop fall over.

I'm running the latest update for Windows 10. I have found that I can get it to move using the touchpad only if I do a hard double finger swipe, but it is not a graceful move with ease, but a hard jump from top to bottom or other pages. Hopefully, they'll get a fix for this in an update soon. Fingers crossed!

I'm getting this problem too with the latest InDesign update - my Microsoft Surface mouse no longer scrolls properly.

Installed latest update to InDesign - 19.0.1, and this issue is STILL not resolved.

Mouse wheel scrolling was working, updated to version 19.0, stopped working, upgraded to 19.0.1 for 'Bug Fixes', STILL not working.

I guess I'll be installing an older version ... Awesome.

Windows 10 on Dell Latitude laptop. Neither the mouse wheel nor the two-finger trackpad scrolling is working correctly in the latest InDesign. Really slowing down my work today.

This also worked for me! Thank you for posting! For those who need additional direction: You have to download and then go to "Identify programs that don't scroll correctly" under Scroll Settings and select InDesign.
