Indesign 2025 and Creative Cloud Won't Launch

I recently tried to download Indesign on my laptop but it fails to launch. Following other forum advice, I restarted my laptop and relaunched CC, updated my OS (to the most recent Sequoia 15.4)--but nothing works. Now Creative Cloud won't even get past the intialisation stage when opening.

I've tried relaunching, restarting etc. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Creative Cloud but it won't let me, as I still have apps such as Photoshop installed--which I can't uninstall as Cloud won't launch. Basically I can't access my Adobe account or apps through Creative Cloud at all. It's hard to see why you should pay for a service that gatekeeps apps from its users.  Feels like I've been wasting my time for days on this very basic access issue when I just want to use the service I am paying for.

I have an Apple M3 Pro running Sequoia. Any help appreciated!

While the cleaner tool is an excellent option, keep in mind that if you have any versions of Adobe apps prior to the last two major version releases installed on your system and you expect to need them in the future you MUST not uninstall them as there are no installers available to put them back.

Hi @catm44448682,

I’d recommend giving Derek’s suggestion a try and running the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. It has helped resolve similar launch issues.

If the problem still persists, you can also test the behavior in Safe Mode and in a new Admin user account. This helps rule out any third-party conflicts or user-specific settings that might be causing the trouble. Reference:

Start up your Mac in safe mode
Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

Once you’ve tried that, let me know how things go. I will be happy to help further if needed!

Consider using the Adobe Cleaner Tool to remove all the Adobe applications and doing a clean install.
