InDesign 2025 having lag issues

Hello, I've just updated to InDesign 2025 and I'm experiencing pretty severe lag when trying to do anything. From switching view modes to simply clicking on an object and moving it, it take a half second to do anything.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I've used the Adobe suite for years, and never had this issue.

I'm running it on a MacBook Pro 14-inch, 2021, M1 chip, 64gb RAM, and 1TB storage.

I was experiencing this, along with some nasty screen redraw issues on my M2 MBPro (black boxes, sections of my screen blanking out and turning white). I turned off GPU Performance in the Preferences and it's worked fine since.

Quite a few users report this issue (there are several recent threads about this on the forum). At this point, the only solution is to revert to InDesign 2024 (you can reinstall it from the Creative Cloud app, if needed.)
