Hi there, this is my first post here.
I have a late 2017 Retina 5K iMac (Intel-based) running Mac OS Ventura and I'm having a hard time working on InDesign: it crashes quite constantly while I'm working on it. I've noticed it happens everytime I try to click and drag a page (to make a copy or delete it, for example), but other random actions also trigger this bug. I've tried looking up online to find out if someone else is having the same issues, but I couldn't find anything.
It's been happening since the launch of the 2025 version of InDesign and I always keep it updated.
Here are the specs of my iMac:
3,4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
Radeon Pro 570 4 GB
32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM
Running Mac OS Ventura 13.7.2
Thanks in advance!

Hi @Victor0000,
I hope the suggestion from @Robert at ID-Tasker helped! Just following up if you are still experiencing crashes, or has the issue been resolved?
If the problem persists, I’d recommend checking out this thread where the product team has shared a suggestion for a similar issue:
InDesign Crashes When Duplicating a Page
Let us know if that helps or if you need further assistance!

So far the Prerelease version is working smoothly, thanks for the tip.
But I have a question in terms of compatibility, because many of my files are shared on projects workflows. Will we have issues?
Thanks in advance.

Hi @Victor0000,
Glad to hear the prerelease version has been working well for you! Just a quick update, the full rollout of InDesign 20.2 is now available. You can download it via the Creative Cloud app and continue working on it.
Also, I want to mention a known issue in 20.2 where InDesign crashes when closing files. The product team has identified that the issue is linked to the Typeface app. As a workaround, you can disable Typeface and continue working in 20.2.
If you run into anything similar, let me know! Regarding compatibility, files created in 20.2 should open fine in the official release, but if teammates are on an older version, they might see a warning. You can package your files (File > Package) or save them as IDML (File > Export > InDesign Markup) when sharing.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
