Hi All
I am investigating an issue with Indesign installed from creative cloud that won't open once initially closed.
It is on a Mac iMac19,2 macOS version 13.2.1 6-Core Intel Core i7
Adobe InDesign 2025 20.0.1.32
When ever I close the application and go to reopen it, it opens for a second then closes itself. I have to either uninstall it and reinstall it to open it again or delete the folder called Version 20.0 in ~/Library/caches/adobe indesign
I have tried:
Reinstalling it and removing all the personal data and settings
Reinstalled all of the adobe estate within creative cloud
Deleted older versions of each app
Deleted all the cache / cookies / preferences within indesign in the ~/library
Tried installing an older version
updated the whole estate including creative cloud
Deleted the 2024 version that was also installed
It is also running illustrator / photoshop / acrobat which all seem to be working normally, but had updated them all as part of the troubleshooting
Also turned off dictation and animated zoom, also tried with both GPU performance on and off but nothing was helping
Is there anything else I can try? These sorts of issues seems to happen within Adobe, even illustrator was having similar issues previuosly. There should be a better solution then to delete the cache folder everytime you close it or have to reinstall it everytime you want to use it.
Thanks so much in advance.
Update the operating system. Ventura was buggy as hell until 13.5.

How much RAM do you have?
Have you tried running the Adobe Cleaner tool app?
Here is a thorough run-down on things to try:

16GB or RAM (client devices, not much we can do)
Tried a few things from the URL but will go through it a bit more thoroghly and see if there is anything I missed.
Thank you for the reply

I told you what the problem is. Update the operating system. This is not an InDesign issue.

Appreciate it. It's a little out of my hands but will present it to the companies IT director to consider.

Your IT people haven't done an O/S upgrade since 13.2? Unless this is some kind of oversight, that is just plain incompetence.
