Hi!
I've encountered a problem when exporting interactive PDF in InDesign. My document contains 3 boxes as text field forms and when I open it in any PDF reader the box cursor starts in the 2nd half of the box (on the left) and then goes all the way down to the next box where it ends in the first half. There's a small gap and then the story repeats again in the remaining two boxes (see attached docs).
Is there a bug somewhere because it worked fine in V.23? And also all my previous interactive documents have the same issue (which they didn't have before).
Thank you for your help & suggestions,
Aniya

Is that a multi-state button, if so it's not recommended as they won't work on things like tablets or smartphones – stick to simple hyperlinks.

Hi Derek,
no, it's a simple text box, so people can fill it in with their text on screen (don't have to print the document). In my case it's a worksheet = a form (not actually a button - I've noticed I didn't correct it in the subject of my post 🤦:female_sign:).
It worked perfectly fine in V.23 on all screens = the text cursor started in the top left corner in the first line. Now it looks like the program draws it's own text box outside the set parameters when exported into interactive PDF. Don't know where the problem lies.🤷:female_sign:
Thanks for your help!
Have a lovely day,
Aniya

You write about “any” PDF reader. Please, be more precise what readers did you use to test it.
Are you aware that only Adobe Adcrobat can read all PDFs correctly?

Hi Willi,
yes, I opened it in AAR and Mac Preview (+another one that I can't remember right now) and got the same result.
What's interesting is that I just opened the document on another mac and started typing in the text box and everything was in order. Now I am even more confused.
Thanks for your help!
Have a lovely day,
Aniya
